Track submission status
Keep the queue accurate as your team reviews, responds to, and completes requests.
Use Status to show where a request is in your team's handling process. The following is a suggested way to use the available statuses:
| Status | When to use it |
|---|---|
| New | A request that still needs initial review. |
| In review | Someone is checking the request or preparing a response. |
| Responded | Your team has replied and may still need to follow up. |
| Closed | Handling is complete and no further action is expected. |
| Spam | An unwanted or irrelevant submission. |
Update a request
- Open the submission and choose the appropriate Status.
- Wait for the update confirmation and check the displayed value. The selection saves immediately.
- Use the status filter on the list to review outstanding or completed work. If a closed request needs more work, change it back to In review.
Mark as read sets the status to Closed. Use it when closing the request is appropriate. If you have read a request but still need to work on it, choose In review instead.
The attention indicator tracks New submissions. Assigning an owner alone does not clear it; changing the status from New does. Continue checking In review and Responded requests as part of your team's follow-up process.
Status and owner changes do not send a message to the visitor. Respond separately when a reply is needed.
