Invite your team
Invite users, choose their access, and confirm they can start working in your organization.
Use this guide after reviewing your organization's subscription and billing in the Organization setup checklist.
Before you invite someone
Confirm that you are working in the intended organization on My Platform. Have the person's correct email address and decide which tasks they need to perform.
We recommend setting up access-level profiles first. Profiles work like reusable custom roles for your organization, so later invitations can use a consistent set of access levels.
Use User for most members. Assign Admin only to a person the Owner deeply trusts with broad control of the organization, when that control is necessary. A person's job title alone is not a reason to assign Admin.
Read Choose roles and access levels for examples, and Understand your access for how subscriptions, roles, permissions, and resource access work together.
An organization Owner can choose Admin or User for other members. If an invitation or role option is unavailable to you, ask the Owner to check your permissions.
Invite a user
- Open Users on My Platform, then select Create User.
- Enter the person's name and email address. Check the address carefully: the invitation will be sent there.
- Choose their language and timezone. Existing users keep their current name, language, and timezone; new users can update these after joining.
- Choose the System Role:
- User is the recommended default. Choose the access-level profile that matches the person's responsibilities.
- Admin is an exception for a deeply trusted person who needs broad control. Individual access levels do not limit this role.
- For User, select the profile you prepared and review its access levels. Configure categories individually if a different combination is needed, and leave unrelated categories as None.
- Review the email address, role, and access selections, then select Create.
The feature-specific access-level categories shown in the permission configuration depend on the organization's active subscriptions. Built-in categories may also appear without a subscription. If a category you expect is missing, review Subscriptions and contact your Industrix administrator; assigning Admin or choosing a profile does not enable a missing subscription feature.
Current subscriptions do not require individual user licenses, so you do not need to assign them during this setup.
Help the invitee sign in
The user receives an invitation email. Someone who needs an initial password follows Set your password; someone who already has a password follows Open dashboard and signs in with their existing account.
Share Your first invitation email so the invitee can complete the appropriate steps. You do not need to create or share a password for them.
Confirm your team can get started
Ask the invitee to:
- Sign in with their own account and select the intended organization if prompted.
- Open the platform and features needed for their work.
- Confirm they can perform their assigned tasks. For a User with limited access, also check that unrelated actions are unavailable.
If access is missing, check the organization's subscription, the person's role and access levels, and any permissions required for a specific resource, such as a CMS site. A resource grant cannot enable a feature outside the organization's subscription.
Use Choose roles and access levels to review the assignment and Understand your access to identify which setting needs attention.
If the invitation does not arrive
Ask the invitee to check their spam or junk folder. Confirm that the email address on the user record is correct. If the address is correct but the email is still missing, contact your organization's administrator for help.
For an expired password-setup link or a forgotten password, follow Your first invitation email.
Once a finance colleague is an organization user, follow Set up billing to add them as a billing contact if they should receive billing emails. Assign their bill permissions separately if they will handle payments.
