Create a page
Learn who usually creates site pages and how to create a draft when needed.
A page is a destination on your public site. Its Page path is the part of the address after your domain, such as /about. Creating a page makes a draft; visitors cannot see it until you publish it.
The Industrix team typically creates your site's pages as part of the site design it prepares for your organization. Your team will usually edit those existing pages. If you need another page, contact support so we can check how it fits the design and template. Follow the steps below if your team is coordinating the new page with us or has been asked to create it.
Create a draft when needed
- Select the CMS site you want to edit. Open CMS → Content → Pages and select Create page.
- Choose Create from Page Template when a suitable template is available. A template supplies a page model and starter sections. Select it and review the suggested title and path. Choose Start from scratch only when you need to select the page model yourself.
- Enter a Page title and Page path. Check the path feedback: a path must be valid and available for this site. Some page models require a particular path or an active collection source.
- Select Create draft page. The new page opens in the page workspace, where you can edit its content.
If you are unsure which page model or template fits your site, contact support before creating a page. A page template is different from the template that controls the overall site design and supported languages.
Creating a draft does not add a link to the site's header or footer. After publishing, you can add it to site navigation.
